Advent Donations
Jayeola, Dovydas and Amy delivered the items we collected for our ‘reverse Advent calendars’ to the soup kitchen. Along with the donations, they took a Christmas card and a cheque for £210 from the money collected at this year's Christmas performances. All at the soup kitchen were very grateful and excited to see the items arriving!
We have also donated to the collection by Notts County’s Football in the Community team. The team collected toys, books and selection boxes for children who will be spending Christmas in shelters and may not otherwise receive a present. These were delivered last week, along with a huge bag of hats, gloves and scarves that were generously donated by the families of St. Mary’s.

Collection to support the Calais Action Group
Year 6 would like to thank everyone who brought in donations to support the Calais Action group who are working hard to support refugees fleeing from danger in their home countries.
Due to the huge support the group have received, the Muslim Hands Centre was no longer collecting by the time we have received all of our donations on Friday. We found another collection point, however, at Malt Cross in the city centre and Vincenzo and Max from Year 6 helped Miss O'Neill and Mrs Smith deliver the donations.
Thank you once again for your support for this cause,

Living out the Gospels in our own lives- making a difference.

Year 6 shared with visitors how they had helped to organise donations of warm clothing and sleeping bags for refugees arriving in Britain.
This effort was led by Vincenzo and inspired one of the visitors so much that they generously donated £200 to support those affected by the immigration crisis.
A very proud moment!
