The Christmas dinner for the children and staff will be on Tues 20th December. If your child normally brings sandwiches and would like a Christmas dinner, please let Mrs Carnell know by Friday 2nd December. Unfortunately, it may not be possible to have a Christmas dinner if you do not order before the deadline. Children who normally have a school dinner do not need to order.
The weather is becoming a little cooler so children will need navy joggers and a sweat shirt as PE sessions will often take place outside. Also, many of our younger children are unable to remove their earrings which have to be removed during PE for health and safety reasons. I ask you not to send children with earrings on PE day. Please be aware that children are only allowed to wear stud earrings to school.
This week children will have the opportunity to discuss what bullying means and strategies to use if they are in situations that make them feel uncomfortable.
The theme this year is ‘Power for Good’ and will focus on helping the children to understand ways in which they are powerful and ways they can encourage individual and collective action to stop bullying and create the best world possible.
The Chaplaincy Team delivered a very reflective liturgy on this theme this morning. Some of the children stated:
`It helped me think about how people treat each other. The video clip was emotional` - Bethan
`If someone bullies you, tell the teachers or Mrs Kelly` - Adam
`If you know someone is being bullied you have a responsibility to tell someone` - Kady
The children will be taking home a leaflet about Internet Safety to share with parents. (Staying safe online websites and phone numbers)
