LEAD Urban Teaching School Alliance

We work in partnership with a number of local schools as a Teaching Schools' Alliance, which is now offering Schools Direct teacher training.

The L.E.A.D. Urban Teaching School Alliance will help equip trainee teachers with the very special set of skills and attributes needed to teach in vibrant urban settings.

Our placements are made up of good and outstanding schools, which are all committed to supporting and coaching trainee teachers. Training in schools within the L.E.A.D. Urban Teaching School Alliance would be exhilarating and rewarding. Through collaborative working trainee teachers will gain in depth knowledge and experience into outstanding teaching practice.

Central Learning Partnership

Families and children within CLP neighbourhood areas are disproportionately affected in some way by income deprivation. The CLP was set up in order to support these children and their families in our school settings and is a dynamic and forward thinking group of 18 member educational establishments in the Central area of the City of Nottingham within the East Midlands region.

The foundation for our work is to assist other initiatives looking to reduce the impacts of social deprivation on families and complements the Nottingham City Children & Young People's Partnership.

We are doing this by delivering planned and discrete family & community support and by accessing the hardest to reach families with the greatest need. By working in partnership this way, the CLP is helping to raise standards and improve outcomes for all children and young people by:

• Providing a shared vision for staff and students at our partner schools
• Engaging additional partners to support our families
• Creating a sustainable and long-term partnership
• Providing continuity of care and education across all stages of transition
• Providing enrichment opportunities across all schools in the partnership and by;
• Developing network groups to support teaching and learning.
