Music Assembly – June 2017
All KS2 children performed to parents, carers and peers in the KS2 Music Assembly. This was a wonderful opportunity for our children to share some of their musical learning. Y4, Y5 and Y6 each performed a piece on their instruments, which they had been preparing during their Whole Class Ensemble lessons. There were also songs from the KS2 school choir and Y3 pupils, as well as a street dance performance from a mixed group of Y5 and Y6 children.
Examples from parent/carer feedback:
“What fantastic opportunities the children of St Mary’s have! Lots of activities for many different interests.”

Intermediate Orchestra Tour –Summer 2015
The Intermediate Orchestra (the Junior Orchestra from Nottingham Music School) came to our school to perform to our KS1 and KS2 children. The performance involved both listening to and interacting with a range of music, helping the children to appreciate and gain a deeper understanding. This was a musically inspiring experience and gave our children the chance to see the possible progression in learning an instrument. It was also wonderful to see Cormac, from Year 4, performing on the percussion in the Orchestra.
