Welcome to Year 1 and all the wonderful things that happen here!

We are a team of two teachers and two teaching assistants. Mrs Thurman and Mrs North are your class teachers, and Mrs Wilson and Ms Francis are your teaching assistants. Each one of us have worked at St Mary’s for many years and are all just as excited as when we first started.

Our aim is for all of us to work together with kindness and respect, creating a happy learning environment for each and every one of us. We want you to develop curious minds, become independent learners and have confidence and belief in yourselves.

All that we ask is that you work hard to be the best that you can be and that you take pride in your work. Please come to talk to any one of us if you are unsure about something.  It is not your job to worry! Remember - we are here to help!

Let’s make our journey through Year 1 a fun-packed year of exploration and learning with lots of joy and laughter.
