Our Y3 Work

Tomato and Mozzarella Tartlets

Today we had lots of fun chopping tomatoes, tearing mozzarella and basil, and putting together these amazing tartlets.  We began by reading through the recipe together, the list of ingredients needed, and how to put them all together.

Our Y2 Work

Making Sandwiches

As part of our work about Animals and Humans during the Autumn Term, we talked about how to keep clean and healthy.  The children were asked to design and make sandwiches that contained all the major food groups.  They then brought their ingredients in from home and had a very enjoyable morning, learning how to construct a sandwich and following instructions.  The children were taught cutting techniques when using knives to keep them safe and their fingers away from danger.  They then ate their sandwiches and evaluated their appearance and taste before deciding how they could improve them in the future.
