Welcome to Year 6
Welcome to Year 6!
It is wonderful to welcome you back to school after what can only be described as a strange few months. Your teachers, Mrs McDonald and Ms O’Neill are thrilled to be teaching you this year – your last year at primary school. Mrs Myles, your Teaching Assistant, is also looking forward to supporting you during this key year. Mrs North will continue to teach you Spanish and PE each week.
Year 6 is a year of responsibility, maturity and preparation for the future. You are given the opportunity to live out our mission statement and use your gifts to make the world a better place, by taking on more duties and tasks that help other children in school and beyond the school community.
This year, we ask you to love yourself and others, and by doing so you will give your best and be your best. Your teachers will live this out in all that we do too.
Mother Teresa summed it up perfectly when she said, “It’s not how much you do, but how much love you put into the doing.”
