RSHE

We are committed to supporting every child’s spiritual, emotional and social development in a way that reflects our Catholic values and the teachings of the Church. Our RSHE curriculum is rooted in dignity, respect and the belief that each child is uniquely created and loved by God. We aim to nurture healthy relationships, personal growth and responsible decision‑making, working closely with parents as our partners in this important journey.

At St Mary’s, we use the Ten Ten Life to the Full Plus programme. This programme provides age‑appropriate, engaging lessons that help children understand themselves, their wellbeing and their relationships, all taught within the richness of the Catholic faith. It encourages pupils to recognise their God‑given dignity, make thoughtful and respectful choices, and grow in confidence as they learn how to care for themselves and others. By following Life to the Full Plus, we ensure that our RSHE curriculum supports parents as the first educators of their children, while offering a safe and nurturing approach that honours every child as a unique and valued child of God.

Mrs Louise Nicholson is the RSHE lead here at St Mary’s.  If you have any questions, please do get in touch – we are always here to help.

Our RSHE policy will be reviewed in line with the latest government updates due for implementation in September 2026, and will be carefully evaluated by the RSHE Lead, Headteacher and Governing Body to ensure it remains fully compliant and reflective of our Catholic ethos.
